YOU — Your Own Universe is built around real people sharing real life: Moments, Journeys, live broadcasts, and the decisions that shape your world. To keep that space safe and welcoming, every member of the community is expected to follow these Guidelines.
These Guidelines apply to all content and behavior on YOU, including Moments, clips, comments, profiles, live streams, polls, and direct interactions. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Moderation on YOU is manual. Reports are read and assessed by human reviewers, and decisions about content and accounts are made by people. We do not promise automated enforcement, and the time it takes to review a report can vary depending on its severity and the volume of reports we receive.
When a report is confirmed as a violation, we may remove the content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account involved. Serious violations — especially anything involving the safety of children — are treated with the highest priority.
You may not harass, bully, or deliberately demean other people. This includes:
Content that attacks, dehumanizes, or promotes discrimination against people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or immigration status is prohibited. This includes slurs, hateful symbols, stereotypes used to demean, and calls for segregation or exclusion.

YOU has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit any content, behavior, or activity that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors — including grooming, solicitation of minors, and trafficking or exploitation of children.
Violations result in immediate account termination and reports to the appropriate authorities. Full details of our standards, reporting channels, and legal obligations are described in our Child Safety Standards.
Nudity and sexually explicit content are not allowed in public areas of YOU. Mature content is restricted to users who have confirmed they are 18 or older, and it must still comply with these Guidelines and applicable law. Content that sexualizes minors is prohibited absolutely and without exception.
When you go live on YOU, you must not:
Live broadcasts that violate these Guidelines or our Terms may be ended, and the content may be removed, including from replays.
You may not impersonate another person, brand, or organization, or otherwise mislead people about who you are. This includes copying profiles, using another person's image or name to deceive, displaying verification you have not been granted, and unlabeled parody accounts. You also may not share content you know to be false in a way that misleads the community.

Reports are reviewed manually. We may not be able to share the outcome of a specific report, but every report informs how we keep the community safe.
If your content was removed or your account was restricted or suspended and you believe this was a mistake, you can appeal by contacting support@iamyou.app. Appeals are reviewed manually by people. We may reinstate content or accounts when a decision is found to be incorrect. Actions taken for child safety violations are not eligible for reinstatement.
